Description:  In a Twin Cities music scene that is heavily saturated with great music, UMAMI looks for much of its inspiration from their peers within. Drawing from an array of local bands ranging from Solid Gold to Skoal Kodiak, their sound blends elements of psychedelic music with electronic beats and driving rhythms most often found in rap and hip-hop. After spending nearly a year developing their sound and existing solely through word of mouth, the five piece is currently finishing up their debut EP due out this Spring. Without a website or social media outlet, the strength of their music alone has earned them weekend shows at popular clubs such as the Triple Rock, 7th Street Entry and Kitty Cat Klub, as well as an in studio performance on Radio K's Off the Record.
