Jason Shannon has been playing in the Twin Cities for about eight years. He self-released his first solo record last year and did a nationwide summer tour.
Shannon's latest sonic incarnation find he and his four-piece band dropping the genre-hopping techniques in favor of loud guitars, funky keyboards, and soulful vocals/harmonies ala Wilco and The Band. Some would call it plain ol rock music.
The band will be releasing singles (with official videos) on a monthly basis and begins an extensive touring schedule in May.
