Name of Band:
The Surfactants
Song Title:
Aussenseiter
Description:
http://thesurfactants.bandcamp.com/album/our-dead-bodies
The Surfactants were formed as a direct reaction to the lackluster glut of complacent safe-rock permeating the local scene. Looking to Japan’s Polysics as well as more traditional icons like Iron Maiden, Faith No More and Depeche Mode for inspiration, The Surfactants carefully craft a fresh brand of intense rock music with electro roots and a heavy-metal mentality. While the band my still be young, the band's members are not new to the scene. Its five main members have each been making their own music in a wide range of bands and other professional capacities for around 20 years.
Advocating murder, mocking religion and celebrating society's outsiders, the new album Our Dead Bodies is not a passive listening experience.
"...one of the most exceptional albums to come out of the area..." —Reader Weekly
"...a really unique sound and the energy is just crazy." —SoundOut
"Five Bands to Watch in 2012." —Duluth-Superior Magazine
"These guys mix electronics with standard rock sounds, which ends up sounding pretty good." —Rift Magazine
