To participate, pick up your guidebook at any of the destinations listed below. Visit five destinations and receive your proof-of-visit stamp. Complete your guidebook by September 3 and enter at StarTribune.com. One entry per person and one winner per household. Entries must be received by noon on Friday, September 14, 2012. Not responsible for lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries. Open to Minnesota and Wisconsin residents 18 years of age or older, except employees and their immediate families of Star Tribune, the participating destinations or their affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies.
(1) One winner will be selected at random to receive the grand prize of Minneapolis, City by Nature, Grand Stay & Play package, which includes a one-night weekend stay for four at The Grand Hotel Minneapolis and dinner in The SIX15 Room!, booking based on availability, (2) two pairs of tickets (vouchers to be redeemed) for a Guthrie performance, (1) one kayak tour for family of four (4) on the Mississippi River and a Minneapolis, City by Nature Visitor Information Kit. This prize pack is valued at $1,098. (20) Twenty first place winners will each receive a three-pack of family memberships to participating destinations. Destinations participating in the family membership prize are noted below with an * behind their name. Each three-pack of family memberships is valued at up to $263.
No substitutions or redemption for cash. Prizes not transferable prior to awarding. Odds of winning depend on number of valid entries received. Winners will be chosen in a random drawing on the afternoon of Monday, September 17, 2012 from all the correct entries received. Winners will be notified by phone. All taxes are responsibility of winners. Winner must complete and return to Star Tribune an affidavit of eligibility, liability and publicity release within 7 days of notification. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited) to use winner’s name, hometown and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation. Each entrant waives the right to assert, as a cost of winning any prize, any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem a prize and any liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem a prize. Each entrant releases the sponsors and the participating companies and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees from any and all liability with respect to or arising out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of any prize and/or the loss or misdirection of any prize.
