What is this?
Vita.mn wants to discover the best new local band!

How does it work?
Are you a new band, or maybe a great yet-to-be discovered local band? Nominate yourself. If you're not in a local band, but know of a great one, we need you to encourage them to enter.

On Feb. 18, three finalists will be selected from all nominees to play Vita.mn's "Are You Local?" showcase at First Avenue on March 6, 2010 with Jeremy Messersmith, Peter Wolf Crier, City on the Make, Romantica, The Pines and Lookbook. After the show, one of the finalists will be crowned the "best new local band."

Can I still play if the contest has already started?
Yes. Nominations will be accepted until Feb. 17, 2010.

Are there prizes?
Yes. In addition to playing the "Are You Local?" showcase on March 6, each of the three finalists will be profiled in Vita.mn and featured on the "Are You Local?" .mp3 download card. The winning band will take home even more goodies.
