What is Are You Local?
Vita.mn wants to discover the best new local band!
How does it work?
Are you a new band, or maybe a great yet-to-be discovered local band? Nominate yourself! If you're not in a local band, but know of a great one, we need you to encourage them to enter. On Feb. 14, three finalists will be selected from all
nominees to play Vita.mn's "Are You Local?" show in March, where one
of the finalists will be crowned "best new local band."
Can I still play if the contest has already started?
Yes. Nominations will be accepted until Feb. 12, 2013.
Are there prizes?
Yes. In addition to playing the "Are You Local?" showcase on March 1, each of the three finalists will be profiled in Vita.mn. The winning band will take home even more goodies, including a spot in the Vita.mn and McNally Smith "Minnesota Music Showcase" during the 2013 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, on Friday, Mar. 15. We'll also include a travel stipend to help you get down to TX.
